Garden of Light at Queen's Park

With more lights than ever, the Garden of Light is the biggest and the best so far. For three nights only, Queen's Park will be transformed into a magical Garden of Light.
Special events
Thursday - aerial fireworks at 7.45 pm
Friday - Fire Spectacular at 7.15 pm and 8.40 pm
Saturday - Chesterfield Lantern Parade at around 7 pm and aerial fireworks at 7.30 pm
Entertainment
Traditional fun fair with steam driven gallopers, big wheel, helter-skelter and other rides.
Music on the Bandstand with Holymoorside Band (Thursday), Pantonic All Stars Steel Band (Friday) and Nottingham School of Samba Band (Saturday).
Then there are willow sculptures, forest of flags and free rides around the lake on the miniature train. Plus stilt walkers, story telling and fire jugglers - there's something happening from the minute you walk into the park till the minute you leave.

From North/South
Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout, select left lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit (continuous lane). At traffic lights select middle lane and go straight on. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Lidl) stay in left lane and take 1st exit (Boythorpe Road). Park is on left, just below Queen's Park Sports Centre. There is a car park both below and above Sports Centre.
From East
Follow A617 to M1 motorway junction. Take 3rd exit (A617) to Chesterfield then follow route from North/South.
From West
Follow A619 into Chesterfield. At roundabout (Morrison's) take 2nd exit. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Lidl on left) select right hand lane and take 4th exit (Boythorpe Road). Park is on left, just below Queen's Park Sports Centre. There is a car park both below and above Sports Centre.
